ModulAir

ModulAir is a modular virtual synthesizer with 31 modules and up to eighteen modules per patch. Unlike VCV Rack, it doesn’t support third-party modules. The trade-off is that it works seamlessly as a VST plugin in your DAW, making it much easier to integrate into a production workflow. I find ModulAir useful for modular-style patching without leaving my DAW session. It’s a self-contained environment that’s quicker to set up than VCV Rack for most tasks.

ModulAir offers up to 64 polyphony voices, double-precision audio processing, MIDI learn, and support for TUN/SCL micro-tuning formats. Check out the other freeware synths on Full Bucket Music’s website, too. The developer has released a range of instruments, including several emulations of classic Korg synths.
