Tymee

by Unknown

Tymee by Tritik is a straightforward delay plugin that I love using for lo-fi sounds. If you’ve used Tritik’s Krush bit crusher or their premium Flaw lo-fi plugin, you’ll recognize the same philosophy here with simple controls and a high-quality sound. Tymee features a ten-second delay line with a tap tempo function. In addition to the standard Delay and Feedback controls, you get a Degrade function (a down sampler) and a Lowpass filter with Resonance control.

There’s also a spectrogram display. It was originally included as a teaching tool, since the developer created Tymee for audio programming education, but it looks great in practice. The Degrade and filter controls are where Tymee gets interesting. When you start dialing in the down sampler and sweeping the resonant lowpass filter, you can push it into almost acid-like territory. I’d recommend Tymee for anyone who wants a free delay that excels at lo-fi textures.

It won’t replace a full-featured delay plugin, but it fills a specific niche beautifully. 15+) and Windows (10+). No registration required.
